Printmaking Project My process of the Linoleum Printmaking Project. First I thought of topics that I like or hobbies that I like to do. I had three ideas but I chose my favorite. My three ideas were a basketball, a volleyball, and my initials. I chose a volleyball as my favorite. Next I had to figure out what colors I wanted my volleyball. I chose that a few panels would be blackmail a few would be white, and the last ones would be yellow. I showed Mrs. Meyer my sketch of what I wanted to do and she gave me a slip of linoleum. I traced my volleyball onto the linoleum. The I had to decide what I wanted to be white. So, the panels that I wanted to be white I carved out with a cutting tool. Then I went over to the table with the ink and with a brayer I rolled the yellow over the whole piece of linoleum. I did the yellow first because black would have to go over the yellow. After I made 8 stamps of the yellow I cut out what I wanted to stay yellow. Next I cut out my chatter pattern. Then I went back over to the ink table and rolled black over my stamp with a brayer. Then I stamped the black over my yellow. I did this eight times. Then I had to choose my best one. I chose my sixth one because the chatter pattern turned out really
unique. I had to sign all of my prints and then I had to give one to Mrs. Meyer. My last step is to upload my artwork to Mrs. Meyers class Flikr website. |
